“Honoring Service….Celebrating Freedom”
Veterans
Tribute Plaza recognizes and honors the men and women who have
lived in Washington County and sacrificed in service to our
country in the United States Armed Forces. Located at the
intersection of US Highways 30 and 75, the memorial has three
components; the Wall of Honor, the Walk of Flags, and the Stars
and Bars.
Phase
I
Complete. Memorial’s infrastructure including landscaping,
lighting, benches and the Walk of Flags that includes the
American flag, flags of each branch of the US Armed Forces, and
the POW/MIA flag.
Phase II
To Be Complete Veteran’s Day 2008. The Wall of Honor is
actually two walls of stainless steel and polished black
granite, each are 9 feet high and 25 feet engraved with the
names of more than 5,600 veterans.

Phase III To
Be Complete Upon
Receiving Funds. “Stars & Bars” is a stunning stainless steel
depiction by Dr. Milt Heinrich that will symbolize both the
sacrifices made by those who served, as well as celebrate our
hard-fought freedom.
How
You Can Participate
There are several ways that you can show your support for our
veterans who and become a vital part of this historic Washington
County memorial.
Buy
a Brick - $100
Original street pavers, reclaimed and engraved with your name or
the names of loved ones. Supply is limited.
On the Wall - $500
Engrave the name of a loved one on the Wall of Honor, identical
to the names of your veteran heroes.

Sponsors
- Several sponsorship levels are still available. Donors from
$1,000 - $50,000 are prominently positioned on the polished
black granite East Wall at the entrance to the memorial.
