The City of Blair offers a wide range of services to
residents, businesses and visitors to our community. We are governed
by the laws of Nebraska regulating cities of the first class.
Services are organized in accordance with an
administrative plan adopted by the City Council. These offices and departments are
responsible for providing the services that citizens traditionally
associate with city government – police protection, fire
suppression, emergency medical response, street and park
maintenance, and water and wastewater utilities, among others – as
well as for the support services necessary to carry out these
functions. All administrative officers and department directors are
appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The city manager
oversees all operations of the city as well as directs personnel.
